Last week's personality of the week was Hillary Joy. [About time that hard work and responsability was lauded.]
Last week's objectivist event was the third presidential debate.
Last week we recognized the woolly bear for his [hers? its?] tireless quest to be considered Punxatawney Phil's predictor equivalent.

Beyond Cool

The low down on this week's menu -  As always, the menu is tentative. Produce deliveries, time constraints and mood swings all play a part. The beautiful chard we'll be chopping into the soup on Tuesday came from the Hamilton community farm. Quesadillas on Wednesday will probably be chipotle black bean, sweet potato if we have any, baby spinach and mixed cheeses. Our resident whoopie pie expert wants pumpkin-chocolate  chip whoopie pies this week. The marinated tomato salad might be switched with Tuesday's bulgar salad, depending on time available for prep. Calzones could be marinated artichoke heart and asiago.
News from the dark side - from my official source - 'Opus goes intellectual on the weekends:
Red Weather lit mag hosted a "Play With Words" session in Opus 1 on Saturday afternoon... poems abounded!  Next Sunday at 5pm in Opus 1 (yes, it'll be open!) WHCL presents Hamilton HUM live storytelling from students and community members.'

Last week we shared one of our favorite recipes for Crumbobblious Cutlets.
Last week's plane of the week was the Mohawk River, between Canajoharie and The Noses.

The low down on this week's menu - tomato soup with grilled cheese special on Monday.
The question this week is on the cucumber supply. Dessert/sweet treat for Wednesday is undecided. Steph's choice.

The work-a-day world takes its toll,
You may gasp for a grasp of the Whole,
To trade virulent clatters, for something that matters,
Put your hands on the shape of a bowl.
